A New Leaflet for CCA
A completely new leaflet for CCA has been printed and stocks are currently held by Alan Murray. The leaflet has a bright new format thanks to Jeff Bellingham of Scribble and Nonsense and features pictures of CCA activities over the past few months. It includes the details for all the groups with contacts.
Please e-mail Alan on alan@murraydesign.co.uk if you require any leaflets for an event or can place leaflets in your local church, community centre, shop etc.
The leaflet can be viewed here
How Can We Best Use the new CCA Website ?
The website has been up and running for several months now. It is loaded onto all the major search engines too. New material is added weekly and it is becoming a real showcase for CCA as well as having some great links to other useful websites.
If you have any good digital pictures of Crediton or people doing interesting activities in and around the town you would be willing to have included please send them to Charles.
We need to get lots of people looking at the website so please mention it to anyone you think might be interested.
Next year is the 1100th anniversary of St Boniface. As a result a whole programme of activities and events is being planned for Crediton mainly from Jan to June.
CCA has been asked to participate.
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS THAT WOULD MAKE A GOOD CCA EVENT OR STALL?
If so our chair Gerald Conyngham geraldconyngham@yahoo.co.uk would like to hear from you ASAP. All ideas that are relevant to climate change/Peak Oil/ Transition Towns/ Local sustainable development are very welcome.
Regular CCA column in the Crediton Courier
We have approached Alan Quick the editor of the Courier about the idea of having a regular column in the Courier giving ideas, making suggestions and exploring issues in relation to climate change, peak oil and becoming a Transition Town. Many people in Crediton read the Courier so it is a great vehicle for raising awareness and encouraging people to take action. However if it is to work, we need CCA members to take a part in writing a short piece every now and again. If we had a rota of around 10 people, this would only mean a piece every 5 months so it is not too onerous! The column needs to be about 400 words about something you are passionate about. Could you get in touch with me if you feel you would like to contribute . Everyone's contributions would be welcomed. Linda Lever lindaml@eclipse.co.uk.
